Little Krishna and The Moon Fairy
Little Krishna and The Moon Fairy
Little Krishna got up with fright,
He just saw Moon fairy up close &
bright.
She held him by his hand in his slumber,
And flew him up above out of his chamber.
The fairy took him across to the Moon,
And with a silver spoon fed him some prunes.
She was lovely and she smiled,
She grew sweeter as each hour piled.
Krishna landed on the ground divine,
Fairy showed her home that she called mine.
The vast were stretches and rivers full of
milk,
Moon was beautiful and was covered with
majestic hills.
‘What brings you here’ is what she said.
‘I don’t know, I followed your wand red.’
‘I won’t have brought you here, had you not
been distraught’
‘I appeared when help was all you sought.’
‘The School is hard and the studies are
tough’
‘I am not sure why my life is rough’
‘My friends tease me for I am slow’
‘My teachers reprimand me as my errors glow’
‘I wish I could live here on Moon’
‘Drink from these rivers full of milk’
‘Play with silver sand beneath’
‘And camp by these hillocks and hills’
‘The troubles are to be faced’
‘Put up fight with utmost grace’
‘Schools are fun and friends are great’
‘The day you learn to walk with a joyous
gait.’
‘I try very hard and I try sincere’
‘But sometimes it gets too much to bear’
‘They teach me Numbers, they teach me words’
‘And in few years they will teach me Surds.’
‘I don’t hate learning’
‘I love to find and discover’
‘But tutoring is what they do’
‘And all this is an enthusiasms cover’
She then ruffled his hair,
And tightened his tie-bow,
Grabbed his hand again,
And flew him over a hill’s row.
Little Krishna now cheered up,
As the mountains and craters unfurled.
He flew over the mountain ranges,
And saw the Milk River curl.
From mid flight Moon fairy showed him earth,
And told him how beautiful was his own
World.
That Blue Gem in the sky was shining bright,
While still his hand was held fairly tight.
‘It is beautiful, it is serene’
‘I want to go home if people are no longer
mean’
‘The people are sweet they just have fun’
‘Just meet them with joy and never ever run’
‘I want to go home now, take me there’
‘But, Few promises are to be made, before we
fare’
‘Always be cheerful, always be dear’
‘And treat school with utmost care’
‘I promise if you look forward to your
friends’
‘You joy and happiness will know no end’
‘Learn what they teach you and discover for
what you care’
‘You will grow up to be a brave lion with
his own little lair.’
Little Krishna smiled,
As she took him back home,
He waved the Moon bye-bye,
As toward his dear home he
was flown.
